Murat Alp Korkut is a creative and a multimedia producer as his body of work span in a variety of mediums such as film, poetry, narrative writing, music and photography.
After pursuing music and playing in different bands as guitarist and singer, Alp studied Industrial Engineering in Ankara. This became useful later in terms of understanding the business and economics side of the creative business.
After finishing university, he studied MA in English Literature for a year. Later, to focus on filmmaking full time, he finished the short course “Certificate in Practical Filmmaking” in Central Film School, London.
To pursue his goal of becoming a filmmaker further, Alp studied MA Filmmaking in Kingston University and graduated as a successful writer/director. This strengthened both his technical and theoretical knowledge about film.
At the same time, he kept writing screenplays, short stories and poems as well as working on his photography.
Now a freelance filmmaker/photographer, Alp is looking for opportunities to show his creative perspective in fields related to film and photography.
